Trump's Epstein problem

not that the whole conversation won't get fragmented into a million false trails and a lot of shouting between Cult members and the TDS crowd.

But you got a President with a decade and a half of close relationship with Epstein. Said President has 17 rape allegations against him* a few of which have enough information to sound credible. He bragged on camera about grabbing women by the ##### and had countless extramarital affairs- including one with a porn star while his third wife was nursing their baby. (But who am I to say about God's mysterious ways).

Then Epstein is assisted in committing suicide in a Trump/Barr jail.

Bad optics.

*women are often loathe to report rapes. Any woman who would go up against a guy who has a long history of being spring loaded to set loose a pack of lawyers to destroy anything in his path would have the heart of a kamikaze pilot.

Re: Trump's Epstein problem

I think if Trump had a great deal to fear from Epstein revelations Epstein would be alive today.

Re: Trump's Epstein problem

Would you like to elaborate on that?

As I've said, it is entirely possible that despite hanging out with Epstein for 15 years, Trump managed to avoid getting jailbait honeytrapped.

But his exceedingly sordid personal history is somewhat problematic. A matter where, curiously, you seem to have no problem at all believing the same of Clinton even though his reputational score isn't quite as bad.

The optics of Epstein getting another sweetheart deal would be much worse.

I guess you could say that they could make a deal where Epstein would talk about things they wanted him to, not talk about others?  I think there's a fair chance that is happening right now as an "outraged" Bill Barr has his FBI scooping things up.

You never want to underestimate what those cathlo-fascist Deep State corporate blob operatives will do.

It's a New York prison....Fredo's turf.

Trump is the only who worked with prosecutors to get him indicted the first time. The people of Fredo's turf got him released.

Re: Trump's Epstein problem

They did apparently have a falling out after 15 years of pallin' around.

Don't know if the story about inappropriate conduct with young girls at Mar-A-Lago is a ruse or not but apparently they did have a dispute over a property that Epstein bought out from under Trump.

Possible, I guess that you could hang around that long with a guy who's running a massive blackmail operation with "girls on the young side" and not notice anything.

Probably not that impossible, really. Once you're admitted to The Billionaire's Club (legitimate or not) then the rules for ordinary people don't apply.

Actually a Federal DOJ/BOP joint.

Re: Trump's Epstein problem

Obama's DOJ never bothered Epstein, if Trump is the all powerful arm of the deep state and Trump had much to fear from Epstein, Epstein would not have been arrested in the first place.    If Trump's past was so completely sordid Hill wouldn't have had to have gone to Steele to make up all the fiction he collected.   Obama's DOJ, that did all it could to kneecap the Trump admin, would have spread the sordid facts like Bill spread his seed with  interns.

Re: Trump's Epstein problem

Yes, it would be just like the Deep State to not turn Julie Brown loose on the story until a Real American was in office.

Actually took a while for the story to finally get some traction- and probably a bit of tailwind from Me Too hysteria as well.

SDNY filed on some new complaints.

Re: Trump's Epstein problem

Back to the central point- the DOJ put Epstein in a situation that doesn't even begin to pass the smell test for "whocouldathunkit?"

But you are perfectly willing to have the government in control of our health care. You want to bless that government with even more power.
