Trump was a brilliant move

Roubini

Some WWE was required to keep The Folk on board and squeeze together one final, bare consensus that could deliver what the various interests demand.

And they're hanging tough as long as he makes their enemies' heads explode.

when Trump and the boys tell everyone about the 3 - 4 % expected growth.............. the only comeback to them should be " Kansas " which would be a way of saying

The U.S. grew at a solid 3% annual pace in third quarter despite damage from two hurricanes, according to Commerce Department data. That’s above economist expectations of a 2.7% growth rate, according to a MarketWatch survey, and only slightly below the 3.1% growth rate in the second quarter.

The Kansas economy grew at the fastest rate in more than a year in the third quarter, with a 3.9 annualized rate, which was also faster than the U.S. as a whole.

That placed the state 15th among states, along with mostly Midwestern and Western states. South Dakota ranked first at 7.1 percent.

"Get it done or don't ever call me again"

Say the donors to their GOP rentboys.

Which also translates as, "The Folk aren't my problem, they're yours. I'll have my tax cut and you figure out how you're going to get re-elected."

Club for Growth "Class Warfare"

led by former IN GOP Congressman Dangerous Dave MacIntosh (a Koch wingnut welfare pail calf) won't support the current version of the tax bill because maintaining the current 39.6% top rate on individual taxpayers is class warfare (as the hedgie said about Obama, worst thing since the Nazis invaded Poland).

Wonder how he ended up with a bad conduct discharge instead of dishonorable? Wonder if it had something to do with Mikey Weinstein.

The two post-war presidencies that delivered the highest sustained GDP growth were JFK/LBJ and WJC.

Johnson's came with a lot of spending, big deficits and resulted in sustained inflation.

Smart and halfway objective economists like Krugman won't make claims that Clinton's results were entirely a matter of his policy brilliance although you can't find a single GOP favored economist who will admit the same about Reagan's lesser achievements.

Taking too much credit for a bull market in stocks is the ultimate political folly. The market will go down some day- whether in the next 12 months I couldn't say but almost certainly in the next 36.
