What has that done to cost of

Living ?

Due to higher wages, things will

Cost more.

Re: Unemployment in Seattle with a $16.39 minimum wage

I don't eat at McDonald's very often but I expect that meal would go up about .75, just based on the hourly labor component.

People who work at McDonalds do eat at McDonalds and presumably would even more.

BTW, I'll take a wild stab and say the "right" place for a national minimum wage would be $11-12 with high cost localities free to set it higher. While the current eqivalent of the peak minimum wage would be about 22 (back in those Good Old Days) I think that's too high.

Anyway, just some fun with one of the RW's favorite zombie ideas.

But if you want a higher minimum wage then you gotta start with an ask and not the Clinton DLC approach which is, "let's ask for $8 and then come back ans say, sorry, those darn Republicans would only give us 7.55. But we're fightin' for ya."
