Guess that there is a new Matt Damon movie out where you have a place called "elypsium", a Latin word for "paradise", where the elite of the world have created a new orbiting globe where they go...no hunger, advanced medical care, luxury.
All the while that the rest of the world lives with disease, hunger, deprived conditions.
Local movie critics, one of the a young liberal that one of my liberal nephews knows from college, reviewed the movie and the liberals are wondering why the movie doesn't spend more time on how such a place came to exist and why.
They seemed to think that Elypsium is just the wealthy of the world enjoying a lifestyle that the rest of the world doesn't get to live, and that it would be simple to give that lifestyle, especially adequate healthcare, to all.
A deeper view is that Elypsium is where Americans actually live, and that those that are doing their uptmost to tear down this paradise we were lucky enough to be born into have no clue how the rest of the world really lives.
