Who has said, we WANT them to work for less?  The point was, there was not much else that could be done.
There was a choice, either work for less, or not at all.  It was the worker's choice, and they made it. 
Personally, I just think it is folly, to rather not work at all, than for less.  If the wages and benefits were that bad, and I was such a good worker, it would be an easy task, to find a better job.

Yes, a CnC that actually has an agenda to get rid of people trying to harm the US and it's people and doing it without so many US troops getting killed in the process.  If you don't like it, why don't you and all your male friends and kids go volunteer to fight them!!!  It wasn't that long ago that all the righties were calling to nuke the entire region and turn it into a sheet of glass and everyone in it!

If that is the case, they are free to find other work, or strike. 
I am not saying that workers should not be able to strike, but I do not like it that people be required to be in a union, to work somewhere.

They had a choice, to take concessions, or risk no job, they made their choice, and now have to live with the results.

It is a lot like having corn in the bin, during a down market, do you get what you know you can, or gamble, that it will get better.  You don't always guess right.

That's true but in the case of Hostess, the bankruptcy judge ordered them to take back on the bonuses from management and to work on restructuring so they may still have a job.

The left is not the theones opposing minimum wage laws. The left is not the ones rotting for business to diminish wages and benefits. It's you righties that oppose such things because you want to keep labor costs low to the advantage of the capitalist businesses.

I suggest you try that tactic on your land owners. Force them to take lower rents to improve your profitability. And next year and the year after, demand they make even more concessions. See how that works for you.

If corps or businesses want the respect of labor, they need to respect the people that work for them. You have no idea how many times Hostess and other corps have argued for concessions and have used the bankruptsy courts to facilitate negotiation. Business takes an adversarial position and then are surprised when labor fights back. On the other hand you choose to take sides without even knowing the details of current labor contracts and how many concessions have been made in the past.

Did you read my reply, when I learned that? My suggestion, was to first take the managements raises and bonuses, add them to the resource pool, and then everyone, including them, take the same % cut. This would be their wages before the last raises. Management that gives themselves bonuses for running a company to bankruptcy is wrong. A bonus should be a reward for a job well done, not a way to skim funds off a company. This goes for both labor, AND management.

I disagree. The left, by allowing all sorts of illegals to live here, to the point of there being 'sanctuary cities' are flooding the job pool, with low wage workers, driving all wages down. I don't believe for a minute, that if you found out that the guy with land across the fence from yours, would have his fieldwork custom farmed for significantly less than you are paying now, with equal yields and care for the ground, that you wouldn't want to be re-negotiating to get lower rates for yourself. Why do you expect others to follow standards you would not?
