Re: War Ration Book
Some of us are old enough to remember our parents using ration stamps. Sugar and gasoline come to mind.

Re: War Ration Book
It's worth mentioning Prescott Bush financing the nazi's during the days of Hitler. i wonder how much of the bush family wealth was accumulated during that era.
And some folks here chastize George Soros for his association with the nazis when he was 15 years old!

Those were 2 of the big ones.
i believe butter was another and know there were several others.
Have a couple of ration books stored away somewhere, each with little stamp like coupons for each of your purchases.

Re: War Ration Book
Joseph Kennedy was evil incarnate. From the stories I have read about that man, he was quite a ways short of being human and any shortcomings that his childen had pale in comparison with the old man. Or if he was fully human, the species is in need of further evolution.

Where, exactly, do you perceive the current threat of Munich-like proportions?
This would be one of many dozens since WWII where it has been invoked. It is remarkable that the Republic still stands given that we've reponded with relative restraint to virtually all of them.
Several of the handful where we haven't have proven quite problematic, though.

Re: War Ration Book
so when you see the news accounts these days, you think all is well ? **bleep** Cheney may have been wrong in his implementation but he was spot on in his assessment of the biggest threat in the world, and it wasn't and isn't Christian fundamentalism.

Re: War Ration Book
I have a book that only has a few used ones out of it. The name on the front is Max Wiker. No address on it.
