Re: What was that guy's name?
Seriously, you had to read that in Huffington Post before it dawned on you that Saddam was doing a better job managing his local world than the US progressives did in intervening?
Virtually all of my friends reached that conclusion years ago....we didn't have to read a HuffPost article to discern that. Thomas Friedman alluded to that possibility before the invasion in the New York Times, even, in a column I have somewhere. Paraphrasing Friedman, he wrote something to the effect that Iraq is a big dark box, and when we open it we will find one of two things...
Either Iraq is the way it is, because of Saddam Hussein....or that Hussein is the way he is, because of Iraq.
I know I linked to that article over a decade ago in here, too.
Better to come to the party late, i guess, than not at all.

More intellectual journalism from the huffington post, and although I find Bruce to be an intelligent man, he relies way too much on the copy and paste function.

well, I think its a self defense mechanism for him...he is not secure in his own beliefs and thoughts and needs to parrot someone , such as nobel laurete Krugman, that he thinks others hold in high esteem.
The funny part of it is that people way smarter than Bruce, find Krugman to be a total joke.

Huffpo fits right in with the progressive model of using other people's stuff.
snip-
The subreddit created to spread uplifting news has some uplifting news for those who don’t like parasitic websites like the Huffington Post — links to HuffPo stories are no longer welcome.
HuffPo has a long and storied history of “borrowing” content without attribution or payment, or just making it up completely (remember when they made up a “blog post” by George Clooney?). Well, their editors have apparently been sticking by that business model.
In a post entitled, “PSA – HuffingtonPost articles are no longer welcome in r/UpliftingNews and will be immediately remov...,” the Uplifting News subreddit announced, “Simply put, a few of the HuffingtonPost Good News Editors have been sourcing stories from this subreddit for quite a while without any attribution to r/UpliftingNews, to reddit.com and in some cases, even to the original journalists or bloggers whose stories were shared here…”
The post claims, “After being prompted, they have recently become unapologetic about this, and instead embrace a parasitic business model that monetizes content created by others through condensed summaries without any ethical standards or creative attribution.”

The wonderful thing about socialism and communism is that in time they will turn on each other, and in time the way they vote wil actually bite them in the butt. Imagine one of these commiies having to stop farming a chunk of dirt because of the EPA. Or better yet imagine one of them, or one of their kids getting there brains blown out by an illegal immigrant, (which let me be clear I hope never happens BTW) then will see how tolerant they are.
If I had to bet I would say there has been a few muslim fruitcakes that have come over the border already, they will probably commit a jihad somewhere in the USA and I wonder how the half breed pres will spin that.

Your post shows so much HATE.
You think the communists and socialists are going to turn on one another?
What about the capitalists who are already turning onothers around the world for their land or their oil?
There are a lot of kids getting their brains blown out especially in your country and I bet the % of illegal immigrants involved is very small.
There are already lots of religious fruitcakes in your country why would a few more matter.
And that 'half breed' president...........
Is that because his father came from another country like a German and an Irish producing a child?
Or is it because his skin is not lilly white?
If it is skin colour then be carefull because a lot of 'white' people have negro genes in their make up too.
Maybe your parents were carriers so that would make you a 'half breed' too.
Of course that would be a benefit as any swine producer knows that hybrid vigour is good.
Study genetic makeup and you will find that people from European backgrounds are 'half breeds' already because they have Neanderthal genetics.
Perhaps that is what shows with some cave man postings on this forum.

Re: So much hate
Simply put your post is moronic, the neaderthal thing at the end shows just how ill informed you are, modern humans hardly ever were in contact with neanderthals. Unfortunately for you evolution supports races being different, perhaps you should move to Uganda, you'll find proof there. LOL

It may be 'moronic' but I am not wrong.
'Modern humans' do carry a portion of Neanderthal DNA, except of course those with African bloodlines, so obviously they did have contact in intimate ways.
That makes those with African DNA true humans and the rest of the world as 'half breeds' carrying DNA from the Neanderthals and some even have DNA fom the Denosivan line as well.
Evolution does not support so called races.
Geography may.
It has been noted that if you take a walk from the middle of Africa north through the Mediteranean area to the north of Europe you will not notice any difference in the people of any one community because each community is made of mostly related people since people tend to mate with the girl or boy next door.
Races are a concept by those who do not understand how similar humans all are.
There is more DNA difference within a tribe of monkeys than there is in all humans.
The concept of race is mostly just skin deep so to speak.
