When can we expect conflict?

I didn't watch the speeches or any of the innaugaration coverage for that matter yesterday but read some on it last night and early this AM.

I'd expected more "grand bargain" appeals to the Boehner/McConnell crowd.  Shocked to see the things he actually named and framed.

From what I read here and from the reports of the sales of guns and ammunition and the easy to find computations of various and numerous paramilitary groups and factions out there, how long until somebody "does something"?

We recently watched a documetnary on History Ch. that I'd recorded a little while back.  Much of it was dedicated to recounting of the wars of the bronze and iron ages in the last millinea B.C..  What was most evident was nothing got undertaken with any success, aggression or defensive, from it without a very substaintial degree of political organization around it and control of massive resources.  If you were loosely organized or short on food and water and currency or gold or other resources, you where hosed.

Obviously, the Confederacy here in the U.S.A. got themselves to that point where they were a very fomidibale opponent, and history shows that a battle here and a skirmish there go the other way and it might have turned out differently.  But they took care to be organized and full on provisions and access to more for years.  The key there was politcal organization.  It wasn't teh people of the south who had seceeded, but raterh the wealthy men who served those states in the U.S. Congress who did.  And they controlled the process and secceded and formed The confederate Statesof America and the little people showed up and were issued uniforms and ordinance because, suddenly, it was the only game in town.

The Spainish Civil war was an incredible noble anti-Fascist  cause. But the dissenters never really bound to each other, often at loggerheads over their aims.  Sometimes to the tune of violence within the movement.  And they lost, even though10s of thousands of volunteers from all over the world came to take up arms with them,  But they never got organized and universally "worked  well with "others". as the Athenians and the Spartans did in coming together to ward off the Persians and save Greece from bondage even though facing incredibly bad odds in terms of manpower.

I fully expect ti to get ugly.  But who attacks and takes out what?  Do neo-nazis attack and clean out government run elementary schools in big cities?  Do red-necks fearing loss of their hunting guns swarm and shoot up a county courthouse in SW Iowa or So. Indiana to rid the locals of the uneccesary beauraucrats and their back room support staffs?

Or will LaPeiere and Dobson and Limbaugh (will the signal to mobilize and move be sent out on Rush's progam of some quiet Tuesday afternoon?)  be able to join forces relatively undetected and start moving the troops down the main byways of the nation, headed for confrontations with the dreaded moderate hoarde?

Maybe it's all lined up and sitting out there, with the necessary orders in some codified form, just waiting for the right time between apple juice and Viagra spots.. And depending, I'm sure, on massive and highly presumed military defections coming on board with them for support.  Literally spilling out of the barracks.

not gonna happen.

I think the evil bastards will back off. What they risk is that people in mass will not comply, the overlords will not have the resources to make them comply, and the people will learn they do not have to comply with anything. At that point the people are free and the all powerful become powerless.

It's not going to happen, all these self proclaimed "conservatives are not going to endanger their pisspot nor do they have any idea how to do anything without being led by the nose, all they know is blowing hot air.  All integral with dumbing down.

The only thing I can imagine would bring on civil war here is if the government was to suddenly attempt to confiscate firearms.  I say suddenly because of the principle of boiling frogs, instead of a divide and conquer, which seems to be the favored tactic.

As you could see from the blather on this site, many are very willing to allow certain scapegoat minorities to be disarmed and giving up a bit of protection from government for the illusion it will make them safe .

The most the Dumbycrats are going to accomplish is insuring their defeat in future elections.

Re: When can we expect conflict?

How safe we are from conflict from here out is going to depend on 2 people, the Governor of your state and the Sheriff of your county.  I see states like Wyoming are making it illegal for the feds to take guns.  The Sheriff of a county is actually the most powerfull elected person in your life, if the county sheriff ain`t happy ain`t nobody happy, he or she can do gimicks like "make everyone in the county a Deputy" therefore, deputies need their guns Smiley Happy   I`ve read Sun-Tzu and if we need to bury and lay low awhile, that`s what we need to do.  That`s guerrilla fighting, wait for the enemy that out numbers you to be financially weakened, sign up for food stamps and welfare even if you don`t need it to bring about the crash sooner http://www.quikmaneuvers.com/150_questions_to_a_guerrilla.html   Time is on our side $16 trillion debt turns to $22 Trillion and 50% of the country on the public dole will turn to 75% on the public dole.  The "blue states" tend to be urban areas that are dependent on going to the super market every day take a compass and draw a 50 mile circle around cities and they will basically kill and feed off each other.  Immigrants that still have ties to their old country will be swarming back in droves.  I unfortunately think that this is a cyclical occurrence that has to happen every 240 or so years.

BA - "The Art of War"  is a great book.   Maybe Johnaa should try reading it some time.  I have a copy sitting here in my farm house on my desk in the rural backwater aka  Mayberry and all the huckleberries have read it.   LMAO!   John

Re: When can we expect conflict?

Are you saying that Article VI, section 2 of the US CONSTITUTION would be willfully violated by the state authorities?  Aided and abetted by folks like you?

On these lines--Lone Star College in Houston had it's own shootout at the OK Corral this morning.  Argument, then gun shots, 3 in hospital.  1 in custody.

Re: When can we expect conflict?

I'm impressed you actually own a book.  I read it in the '60's.

Good to see you feel I beat you so bad you can't make a post without mentioning me.
