When you don't have tents and sleeping bags

you're inclined to stay in your vehicles and keep them running at night so you can stay warm.

Then you get found by drones using thermal sensors.

Oops.

Funny that Ukrainian recon squads fooled the Soviets' thermal sensors with $2 yoga mats.

Re: When you don't have tents and sleeping bags

I understand you had a very fun camping trip, didn't you? I love camping, and every weekend I go with my wife and friends to some forest and set up tents there. And I love camping so much that I constantly read different articles about camping. And recently, on midwestcamping.org, I came across a decent article about tents and realized that I needed to buy a tent for my truck. After all, it is much more convenient to transport a large tent and other things in this way. So camping, for me, is a thing that allows me to periodically take my mind off things.

Re: When you don't have tents and sleeping bags

Lol, several times I had to sleep in the car while camping just because I didn't have a tent. I only had sleeping bags, but it was so cold in the woods that even when I tried to sleep, I just couldn't make it. I slept in the car to keep warm. Eventually, I had to buy a tent( if you don't have one either, you can look at https://canopytentreviews.com/) and finally after three months of weird camping, I was able to have a normal rest.

Wood burning stoves are now biomass heaters and are the new green savior 😂

Re: When you don't have tents and sleeping bags

It seems to me that it's best not to get caught up in being searched for by drones with a thermal imaging camera. When camping or just going on a picnic, you should take a full set of things you might need. This includes a first aid kit and a sleeping bag if you plan to spend the night. Also, an important role is played by flares and a light for the fire. In principle, this is enough. But if you do not have a flashlight, it will be difficult to navigate in the twilight. So https://www.amazon.com/Vont-Flashlight-Flashlights-Water-Resistant-Accessories/dp/B089T8HDBV may be useful for you. You should bring enough water and food, in case of long walks.
