Where is the winchester.

Obama has put a line in the sand and degreed a war on guns. Its time to get out all those old guns and stand guard for when the gubermint come to take them off you.  All the gun shops wil have a run on ammo today and will be sold out in no time. Out comes the camo clothes and face paint.  Everyone is on high alert. Hearts pumping and adrenaline through the roof. This will cause more heart attacks than anything he has ever said.  Bring it on.

Re: Where is the winchester.

I see your post did not get any comments from those 'gun lovers'

Maybe they are starting to see the falacy of a bunch of hunting rifles standing off the 'government' whose forces are outfitted with the latest in weapons to kill.

Thet will actually be able to do something if they study peacefull protests and what people can do without violence.

Without guns and violence change can happen and the population survives with infrastructure still in place rather than a 'Syria' where the winner will possess a pile of ruble and a lot fewer citizens.

Re: Where is the winchester.

Relatives came from Chekolslovokia . Wasn't much fun for them after govt crushed their guns. Your ignorance is showing Colin. Study history.
Evil exists and there are many tools used to perpetrate it beside guns.
Drones and C4 will be next etc. Outlaw drones??

You don't need guns for mass murders. Just bstudy thre great mass nurderers of the 20th century. They were able to kill millions because the people were unarmed. The violence was carried out by their government.

You mean with the power at the local level? Is that what you mean? You advocate for the ISIS style government with central control.

You always seem able to ignore a point made and insert your idea which is not related.

What has been successful several times is a peaceful rising up of the people.

The bad governing forces were thrown out and the buildings were still standing with few or no deaths of the protesters unlike places like Syria where resorting to the gun results in thousands dead and even when/if they evict the bad government there is nothing standing to have the refugees return to.

Another example of gun violence resulting in death not security.

Governments of the 20th century killed 100s of 1,000,000s. Most of this was accomplished without guns. Most of it was accomplished because the population was unarmed.

look at history and then tell me how Syria is better off than Portugal after their revolution in the 70ies, Poland, Iran, East Germany or even Egypt just a few years ago.

Guns and violence beget guns and violence and the 'winner' is left with a pile of ruble and many dead bodies.

If the people of syria want to give their guns to the government that is their business. I'll keep mine, that is if I have any.
