Where to from here

I notice how there are many posters on here are currently on leave without notice. I also notice that the majority of the posts are basically re hashed republican rhetoric with a tinge of democrat hatred on the tail.  Now.  That is OK by me and I will give as good as I take.  But the problem is the number of blatant lies being told about all sorts of things.  There are a few serial offenders on here and the know who they are.  You guys have been shouted down so many times but like a sheep killing dog returning to the carcase, you dust yourself off and carry on as if you nothing has happened.

Everyone is quite entitled to have their say of course, even the likes of the silly Ollie.  But the hypocrisy which exists on here is verging on tantamount to heresy from some of you. It is hypocrisy itself which irks me the most and it is a benchmark of so many posts on here.  Apparently; it is your only defence.  I and others have indicated that so many times but you never seem to recognise it or deliberately ignore it.  That is one reason why you all get offended when you get shouted down.  Consequently, I in particular become a foreign troll which of course is just another poke at me being a foreigner pointing out the error of your ways.

Craig has recently shrunk into his shell and so he should.  He has enough nouse to know when he is out of ammo but I do miss him.  Quick research indicates that the threads are still being read but no one wants to post for or against anthing because they would be immediately linking themselves with idiots.  Not a good look.  If the debate got into a few more facts, with not so much reference to Hitler, socialism and racism, a discussion could continue along civil lines.  Although some are incapable of that, not everyone is like it.

I rarely start a thread but rather be critical of what is stated. It will be interesting to see of the debate moves along some factual post lines but I doubt if you will all read this, let alone reply with some comprehendable suggestions.

So lets see if anything changes from you guys in that regard.

Well Gough, it`s about a person`s "world view" , I happen to feel that America`s best days are behind it.  In 1982 there was no "Ferguson" or at least more importantly I didn`t have to hear about it.   If a father died and left his kid 500 acres in his will, the kid would get 500 acres, he would not have to sell off a big chunk of it to pay the death tax as many liberals wish to see.  If you have 700 guns, you didn`t have an administration that is looking to chip away at your abilty to retain ownership or impede your abilty to pass on those guns to your heirs.   There wasn`t a "nanny state" as there increasingly is today at the pleasure of the liberals.

I think basically, liberals don`t believe in their own abilites, they want a guaranteed easy life and they are obsessed anyone with a dollar MORE in their pocket.  Well, you know, some worked harder, was smarter and maybe just luckier and that is life. We need to help those that are in a rough patch, but we have no obligation to make the fruits of everyone`s labor equal.

You not quite right on the farm BA. My brother in law's dad died in the early 80s. His mom's tax payment was higher than the farm payment.

Wow, they soaked a deceased man`s wife with a estate tax?   A lawyer told me that you hear 10 different things about estate taxes and they all can be correct, that`s how much it get changed and people`s experience with it.   This "basis" business can be the big thing, cause if Gramps bought a farm for $200/acre and the heirs sell it for $10,000/acre, how much of that difference has to be taxed is as important as the tax rate.

Then sometimes a child or spouse don`t have a owed inheritance tax but if a nephew inheirits it, they will owe alot of tax.   Then there`s state estate taxes that can sometimes bite as much as the federal tax.  It`s tough 3020, to get on the wrong side of it and the way it changes, you can`t make a estate plan and forget about it, it`s a constant change.
