And they were right.  As more and more guns, with the ability of the shooter in Vegas hit the market, the more shootings there will be.

Yes, they did....but it wasn't nearly 600 killed or wounded, now, was it?  And there are many, many more venues, where you  can get an assault rifle into, or rifles, as the case may be....where you can't get a motor vehicle....especially a large truck.
