no, PeopleNet E-Logs , going on 11 years , we ditched the paper system way ahead of  the mandate. It has paid dividends. With Paper logs the smallest time increment was 15 minutes. With multi drop loads it demonstrated quickly a savings in time in those situations, sometimes up to an hour per day , literally it is to the second.  Breaks on insurance rates , Police saw the little stickers on the trucks and would just pass guys right on through. It's an integrated system that we now have outward facing cameras as well as cameras that look down the side of the trucks. Several times it has saved us tremendously in accident incidents showing who was truly at fault. Whenever one malfunctions and the drivers have to revert back to Paper backup they squeal loudly until it gets fixed , they hate the old way now. It is also a device/system that protects the driver as much as it does me. The old adage from DOT Officers was that trucks couldn't average more than 58 mph for a whole days cycle , E-Logs have proven that we can average as high as 62 mph. Instead of waiting up to a couple weeks to check drivers logs , we can now check them instantly and correct issues more timely.  As well , we now get notifications on driver driving patterns so it allows us to teach and instruct on better driving habits. All of it leads to a safer environment for the drivers and the motoring public.
