Who will it be

The muslim or little Chavez?

snip-

Democratic Party activists who tried unsuccessfully to sink Hillary Clinton’s nomination at last year’s convention are at it again, pestering national party members ahead of next week’s vote on a new chairman.

Party leaders are eager to incorporate the energy of progressives who buoyed Sen. Bernard Sanders’ presidential campaign last year — but less enthusiastic about the activists’ rough edges that continue to irk many Democratic National Committee members.

They say the phone calls to lobby for Rep. Keith Ellison, the choice of progressives, over Tom Perez, viewed as the establishment choice, are out of control.

Re: Who will it be

At this point it appears that they've learned nothing.  Rather than addressing the concerns of working people, they're just going to double down on how much they hate those same people.   Identity politics is all they know.

Only President Trump shines the light on the crooks

at his stellar press conference, Trump derided the fake news networks for ignoring the logs in their own eyes, the free pass to Obama, Clinton, DNC etal while going after the specks in his eyes.

Where was the press on Hillary getting the debate questions in advance? Not a much larger scandal than Trump's security guy chatting with a Russian counterpart? And Brazile lies about it and blames it on "the russians", too?

Wasserman Schultz was replaced as DNC chair on an interim basis by longtime party operative Donna Brazile, who was quickly engulfed by her own scandal when she got caught secretly passing CNN debate questions to the Clinton campaign, then repeatedly lying about it by denying it and insinuating the emails were forged by the Russians. For that misconduct, CNN fired her, as anchor Jake Tapper denounced her cheating as “horrifying” and CNN said it made the network “completely uncomfortable.”

But Brazile continues to this day to run the DNC. Think about that: Her behavior was so unethical, dishonest, and corrupt that Jeff Zucker-led CNN denounced it and publicly disassociated itself from her. But the DNC seems perfectly comfortable having her continue to lead the party until the next chair is chosen.

Re: Only President Trump shines the light on the crooks

It's a mess. But probably not without a default solution.

Your "stellar" natural leader of the Republican Party (a crown that a sitting President gets to wear in his or her party) has daily tracking approval ratings flirting with the Mendoza line, and Congress is sitting on their hands in timidity over letting their tax and health plans see the light of day as they are finding that they run counter to both what the public who elected The President and quite likely The President himself seem to want.

Either Ellison or Perez will at least something to work on. And in spite of all of the ink and cyberspace being devoted to the demise of the Dem party if you peel back all of the layers that have been loosened over the last week or so and are honest in your assessment you'll find that the GOP is considerably more internally fractured and divided.

Re: Only President Trump shines the light on the crooks

I'm working from the assumption that trump is a 1 termer,  likely not even that long if all the forces of the establishment get their way.   The margins on the national level are so thin, unless they run hillary again, Trump is out.    The house and senate probably will remain about the same.

Maybe not though, if the R's continue as it looks they will the R voters will stay home.

Re: Only President Trump shines the light on the crooks

The interpretation of that news conference displays so clearly the huge disconnect between the halves of the country.  The one side saw it as unequivocal proof that the president was deranged, unhinged, demented, and in their echo chambers think all people see the same thing.    If you talk to people and wander around the internet you'll find huge numbers that thought the press conference was a tremendous success.  I couldn't stop laughing during the "very fake news part".

Like you said, the people saw definitive proof during the last election that the media choose a candidate aided her  and cheated anyway they could.   Their credibility is gone.

Re: Only President Trump shines the light on the crooks

I just now picked up on the news (if it can be believed that is 😀) that The President is holding a kick-off rally for his 2020 campaign back home in Florida today.

If I was still back in college (46 years having lapsed) I 'm sure someone would organize a drinking game centered around the number of time he snarls HILLARY.

Re: Only President Trump shines the light on the crooks

after listening to CNN for the first time ever perhaps, and hearing the queer little Anderson guy go on for hours about how deranged Trump is, I can more fully understand parrots like Boris and Nutz.

Trump was in top form at the news conference, Geraldo gave him kudos for his efforts even and the liberals are getting their heads spun off on Trump.

Pass the popcorn and crack another Corona....this is both fun, and healthy....we should get three or four stellar supreme court justices that will really fry the brains of the fruitcakes before this run is over.

Fun, fun, fun., and much safer than Mrs. Clinton would have been .

I am loving President Trump. He is vastly exceeding expectations.

All he needs to do know is to start saying FACT! after every proclamation.
