So if someone shoots at some congressmen playing softball and says "Bernie Sanders told me to do it" we should remove Bernie Sanders from office and allow the congressmen to sue the wealthy Bernie Sanders in civil court?

Why?   America saw on live TV what happened.   Nearly ever finger of those that have been arrested, point back to Trump.   And, when all is said and done, the Republicans in office will uncover their eyes and their ears, and say, “We saw nothing - we heard nothing.  We vote not to convict!”

Read the impeachment, there are charges, the prosecution has to prove them.  The defense has a chance to rebut and prove otherwise.  That will take months.

You're right on one thing, it's only trump supporters that have been held on charges.  The blm people, like John Sullivan, were questioned and let go.  As was the CNN reporter.   Just us.
