Why isn't Willy's O-Care gaff big news?

You'd think it would be a bit of a deal breaker.

Or maybe there is some method to his madness.  Hard for GOP to respond in any manner other than "Repeal! Repeal!"

Needs fixing.  No question.  And the defects are the result of the compromise that was required to get it passed in the first place.  The absence of the public option.

Compromise by who? There was not one Republican vote for the bill.

Re: Why isn't Willy's O-Care gaff big news?

That compromise was necessary to get a substantial number of corporatist Democrats from states with powerful insurance and health organization concerns in them.

Obviously no Republicans were going to vote for it.  That NO vote has become a badge of honor, along with the repeal efforts. All part of the McConnell ( who all of the baggers and thumpers and, now, Trumpsters here roundly despise) Rule of catagorically opposing all things Obama.

It makes for a great line.  Will be interesting  to watch the tallies in the House when efforts are taken to fix it.  With the defects out in the open, and solutions to fix them available another set of repeal votes probably won't fly quite so well.

We'll know if Hillary brings up ACA "repair" in the debate Sunday.

BJ calls it a crazy plan, the beautiful daughter Chelsea says it's unaffordable, Tim Kaine doesn't

defend it when Pence brings it up.....whassup?

One thing about the Clintons, they are opportunists...if the public really hates something, they are

not about to defend it.

Once Mrs. Clinton gets in office and repeals it, all of you fruitloops are going to chime in and say

that you hated it all the time, too.

Some things nevah gonna change.

Re: Why aren't the fruitloops

complaining about medicare? It seems like the only folks opposed to it are those not on it!

You think the gov't is terrible until they do something you want them to do.

You laud and applude the "free market" while the free market is robbing us blind. Have you priced a new chevy lately or a new pickup.

truck?

President trump will not curb government. He wiil make it larger but he will cut HIS tax burden if he paid taxes and he will dump the cost on to you and me.

Re: Why aren't the fruitloops

Bruce put up an essay, by a Democrat, on where Social Security and

Medicare are headed , based on the current trajectory and how favored

the current crop of retirees are, and what the future bodes.

That may well be the reason the current recipients are not complaining.

Read it and then post.

Re: Why aren't the fruitloops

Where is social security and medicare going?  They are going to prosper and become popular in our society. How???  Well there are millions of folks that don't pay in and theyare not just the low income folks that are not paying. Imagine all of the investment income being taxed as well for medicare and SS.

Why put the limit on ss taxes at $120K. Why not $200K or $500 K?

If we are going to tax income we ought to tax all of it and not leave so much income immune to taxation.
