Re: Why the GOP can't replace ACA

Do You Know Someone Suffering From Trump Unacceptance & Resistance Disorder (T.U.R.D.)?

Know the signs, spot the symptoms, and save a life!

Trump Unacceptance & Resistance Disorder is a pattern of pathologically dissociative and psychotic behavior, first observed in the late hours of November 8th 2016, and increasing in severity with passing time.

Sufferers of Trump Unacceptance & Resistance Disorder often exhibit pronounced cognitive dissonance, sudden bouts of rage, rioting, and uncontrollable crying.

People with Trump Unacceptance & Resistance Disorder are characterized by a persistent unwillingness to accept that Donald Trump is going to Make America Great Again.

Trump Unacceptance & Resistance Disorder was directly caused by the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States of America. For many, both in America and worldwide, this was a shocking and unexpected outcome; their preferred news sources having failed to inform them that the alternative candidate was a criminal parasite in such ill health she got chucked into the back of a van like a kidnap victim.

Research is ongoing, but T.U.R.D. appears to correlate closely with the following environmental and behavioral factors:

Membership in the Democratic Party

Identifying as a Feminist

Currently enrolled in college, and/or Possession of a Liberal Arts college degree

Living in a densely populated metropolitan area

Massive student debt

Spotty or non-existent work history

Patients with T.U.R.D. are very resistant to treatment, and dangerous in large groups. Any possibility of treatment requires that they be separated from their hive-mind support apparatus; they cannot begin the process of accepting reality in the presence of encouragement towards delusion and irrationality. Separation may require the assistance of law enforcement.

If you have a friend or loved one suffering from T.U.R.D., urge them to seek treatment. Together we can beat this scourge, and Make America Great Again!

Sniplet pretty well nails it

The Republicans could create a superior system by offering a public option that would create competitive pressures to contain cost, extending Medicare to all citizens to reduce the cost of providing care through private insurance, or providing a national health system. Each of those options, however, is unacceptable to them on ideological grounds. That self-inflicted restraint means that there is no superior alternative to Obamacare. That is why the Republicans have not developed, much less proposed, much less enacted a “substitute” plan for Obamacare over the last seven years.

anyone that believes this paragraph should not be allowed to vote.

A career opportunity

The Not-Obamacare Victory Tour is going to require a Good Folks "entrepreneur" to serve in the Joe the Plumber role. Seed cap would be great since the cowboy hats were a big hit in the Bundy Bros. Darwin Award deal.

When you get some sort of insurance that only costs 3X what you were paying pre-ACA you can show your last bill from an exchange that had been permitted to blow up where it was 6X.

Re: A career opportunity

I really have no clue what you are talking about, which is fairly normal.

You never have addressed my query on what exactly you meant by "teaser rates", etc.

I think you have a pre-Alzheimers onset going on, where  you garble facts and opinions from various sources into the "World according to Nutz" and then entertain us here.

I understand that some of the exchanges set up for Obamacare employed "teaser rates" to entice more membership, but you take that and then try to pretend that the population that was well served by actuarial sound health insurance for decades before the skinny Kenyan became America's Saviour  were enjoying some sort of "Teaser rate" also.  You can understand why I would think you have alzheimers, maybe? then again, maybe not.

So what is the temperature at which steel melts again?
