The studies only show tendencies/trends.  Not really able to say quantitatively how better leaders women tend to be than men.  Is it within one, two or three standard deviations?  Regardless exceptions will always occur.  Jimmy- the-Greek got canned for saying blacks are better athletes than whites.  Obviously true, but doesn't mean all blacks are better athletes than whites.   Similar to comparing black and white intelligence.  Based on my experience, I agree with the studies that show whites are generally smarter than blacks.  Doesn't mean all whites are smarter, but if arbitrarily chosen, a group of whites will statistically have an advantage over blacks.  Now if you want to skew the results and pick only whites from Appalachia and blacks that are tending a university, obviously the blacks will "win".  Consequently if I'm choosing a basketball or football team from a general population it will be all blacks.  Could end up with a dud team but I'm confident the odds are in my favor.  In contrast if the blacks are from a general population and the whites are from college or NFL/NBA teams, I'm going with the whites.  Likewise if I'm going to assemble a team to design a new vehicle/computer I would go with all whites or better yet all Orientals.  Again it could be a disaster but believe the odds are in my favor.  So back to women and politics.  So if I choose to believe the studies on men vs women leadership and are arbitrarily choosing candidates from a general population, it very likely would be all women and certainly all white or Oriental women.

Jimmy the Greek did not get canned for simply stating that "blacks are better athletes than whites". What he said, and I remember him saying it, was that the reason blacks were better athletes than whites is that the slaveholder would take the biggest black (he called him the "biggest buck")  and use this "buck"  to breed all the female slaves to produce bigger, stronger cotton pickers. This was on national TV one Sunday I think.

I would like to see what happens to racial stereotypes for intelligence when you try to compare apples to apples on family background. Asian families are the most cohesive, and it shows on how well the children turn out. Blacks tend to be single mothers much more often, and the kids are at a huge disadvantage in America. If you adjust for these factors, and for economic factors,  I doubt that there is much  of a difference in intellect.

Slavery has left a terrible legacy on people of dark skin in America and the effect has been to have much more single mothers without a father for their children. You can argue that this is something that is due to something being deficient in the men , and you might have a valid argument. Just remember, however, how many men were guys like Thomas Jefferson that fathered children with their slave women and then abandoned them. (To Jefferson's credit, he did provide for his descendents.). American black men have learned to abandon their offspring not from something innate in black people, but probably more from emulating their white slaveholder great great grandfathers.

One thing we know about men and women is that as they age - and the hormones that are responsible for their most notable differences wane in both sexes - the more they become alike.  In fact, all people are more alike than they are different. 

It is the constant effort to discern differences that ends up as the derivation of most prejudices.  If you start to ask yourxelf how you are similar to that "other" person, you will find that most of the things you notice are things that could be easily changed by choice.

Sounds to me, like the Federal Gov't should get Alaska off the public teat, then.  Why they are funneling money into Alaska, when they are running surpluses, with NO income tax, is as much a failure of the Feds, than Alaska, in my mind.

With the Fed Gov't running deep in the red, they sure don't need to be subsidizing the 'rich' States any more than they need to.

Do you think I'd have a shot at being Gov. of Alaska?  Maybe I could take lots of moose hunting vacations, and drive around on 'snowmobile one'.  Except for the long nights in the winter, it could be fun!

  Real studies of intelligence has indicated greater relation of nutrition, prenatal and early to intelligence than genetics.  Nutritional differences has a great deal with culture, for instance cultures which abstain from alcohol produce a larger percentage of superior intelligence.   Vegetarians and those who eat less meat produce offspring with better intelligence, like people from eastern and southern asia. 

   But people love to believe it has more to do with their 'superior' genetics.
