anecdote that made me pause

In the whole mixed up process of going to college right now a girl attending the same university as my daughter was asking question about vaccine requirements should it become available.  The girl said she was part of a vaccine study and the doctors told her the results wouldn't be know for 2 years.   Can't vouch for any truth or accuracy of it, but the timeline would be normal for vaccine trials.

2 years.

confirmed, sort of

Dr. Carl Fichtenbaum joined Good Morning Cincinnati Saturday to discuss the trial. He is the medical director for the Moderna vaccine.

2,100 people have volunteered to take part in the clinical trial and 500 will be prescreened to talk part in it.

Some will be given the vaccine while others will be given a placebo. Participants will be monitored for two years.
