another Trump failure
this in the primary mission that The Blob sent him on- killing renewables, electric cars, etc. Economics tend to have out in the end.
Sadly, though, the greater national failure is that The Blob managed to get the USA behind the curve on all that magnificent jobs, jobs, jobs* creating stuff. Being exceptional I think we can catch up, or leapfrog it, though.
*maybe not so much in autos- electric cars are pretty simple machines. But despite some pretty strong years for US auto sales, we're probably past Peak Car anyway. Average cost is $30k+ and the average term for car loans was stretching out to more than 5 years. A lot of Americans can't afford cars any more and they'd (particularly urban residents) would be better served by sharing arrangements and public transit.
