austerity is the answer

The time for austerity is when the economy is healthy. A great time to start would have been about the time BUSH2 was inaugerated. Instead of tax cuts austerity and a climate that was ideal for debt reduction.  Austerity now would be like giving an enema to someone that already has the runs. making the sick even sicker is not a positive effort.

Instead of a macho war effort, it could have been addressed with intelligence and selective strikes similar to the attack that got Bin Ladin. We still got the mindset in congress to refight WW2 when that strategy is outdated and wasteful.

I would say the thing that probably shouldn't be done is awarding the CEO of the company that shipped per capita the most jobs overseas the title of job czar.  Oh wait, we already did that.

I would still like to know why if the Bush tax cuts were such a bad thing, why Obama extended them?

Plus they included a cut to the SS tax weakening the system.

Why not put the unemployed to work at those sort of jobs?  The government could be helping the unemployed, while accomplishing work, instead of just paying them without getting a benefit from it.

I also think, the tax cuts need to be renamed the OBAMA tax cuts, as they wouldn't exsist, had they not been renewed during the Obama administration.

Quick question, does that new 'jobs czar' now qualify for lifetime health care benefits (from his jobs czar job)?  Wouldn't it be ironic, for the government to give him the lifetime benefits, that he denied to so many, when he moved their jobs overseas?
