Re: crop ins payts

I know you`re asking Jput this, but I`ll answer from my prospective.  I don`t begrudge a needy person from getting assistance if they do need it.  What i try, more than often to the sound of crickets is offer answers on how those on welfare can break the cycle of dependency and make the country strong again.  That is to bring back "living wage jobs" I don`t blame someone too much if they do the math and find that going on welfare "pays better" than working for $10/hour ...it`s simple human nature.  Just as the employer will try to spend as little as he can for labor in most cases to remain competitive.  Both the employer and employee and welfare recipient will ultimately do what`s best for their backpockets and you can include farmers, landlords and tentants in that as well.

Put tariffs on so that importing foreign goods is too high compared to domestically produced goods.  That would create demand for labor, increasing wage rates.  Also, cut immigration to zero, for now anyway, then be damned picky who you let in.  Because if you raise wages here, then open up the borders you are just shooting yourself in the foot.

Now, until I see an honest attempt to reign in the $1 Trillion annual deficit spending and implement solutions I have NO alligiance to "do my part" if no one else is going to do their parts.  So, if I`m entitled $11,995.00 a year in farm subsidies, I will sign up for and collect my $11,995.00 in farm subsidies without one moments worth of guilt.

Well, he`s certainly implying that taxpayers pay the whole premium and the entire claims as well, meanwhile the basterd farmers are guaranteed a profit.

Good old socialism. Nothing like throwing the starving right wing would be capitalists a lifeline to keep that delicious welfare **bleep** warm and subtle.

Re: crop ins payts

It seems that in his mind if the farm bill goes away and all subsidies to farmers end, then the entire government budget issues are solved.  I think I'm right in saying this....government subsidies to farmers amount to somewhere around one tenth of one percent of the federal budget.  And if the farm bill went away, politicians wouldn't just not spend that money.  It would be "found" money that they could spend somewhere else.
