Re: dagwud, for your reading pleasure

Put your birth certificate on here so we can see if "yer ameracun". LOL

Yea, that's some story. Can you imagine which one of those poor saps that got stuck covering either Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachmann had to say????????

But, no worries though, because Andrew Breitbart is hot on the story. Hopefully he won't do some "creative" editing, because he's so good at that.

Re: dagwud, for your reading pleasure

You are painting with abroad brush Tom.  So to try and clear things up let stick to the facts.  There are videos of these two and at times three men that are supposed to be the new  Black Panthers preaching hatred, violence and murder against whites.  I know of no one including the NAACP claiming the videos are fake or doctored as with the Sherrod and ACORN videos.  I have repeatedly said I assume FOX would be all over this story and that FOX is famous for embellishing news stories or giving only parts of a story or adding their own twist to the story to help promote their and the Repubs agenda.  I make no excuse for FOX's style of so called "news reporting."  However since I don't watch FOX I have to take your word on their coverage of this story.  I don't doubt your claims as it fits FOX's motus operandi perfectly.

The video clearly shows these men calling for blacks to kill white men, women and children.  If the videos are not fake then it appears we have a couple of extremely racist and hate filled individuals trying to incite fellow black people to white people.  I have never said or claimed there is large organized new Black Panther movement out to kill white folks simply that these men should be condemned by all for their hate fill rhetoric.  So now please be specific and tell me what BS I want to believe so bad.

Yes I agree their have been plenty of "lurid theories exposing his alleged subversion and treachery" on the internet about Obama and the Clintons.  I also acknowledge that there have also been bizarre internet theories about Repubs as well.  I've seen where Bush was supposedly a coke dealer or that he back hitting the booze which was one mentioned on here more then once.  I've seen claims that Laura Bush intentionally murdered the boy that was killed in a car crash she caused when she was a teenager and ran a stop sign at night on a rural road.  I don't condone these bizarre theories from either side of the aisle and give them no credence.  Sadly they have become the norm in our country's political scene and seem to play to those ignorant of the facts.

Re: dagwud, for your reading pleasure

dagwud, did you read all four pages of the article? If you did, you would see why I think it's a load of bull. Let's talk facts then. Fox demonizes blacks, in turn, blacks hate Fox "News", and that's no big surprise, nor is it new. So, when Fox exclusively highlights a story like that, and to the extent that they have, my "bovine excrement meter" pegs out. Those two groups are polar opposites, so that gives it NO credibility to me, now add in the constant attention Fox has given to it,and it's looks as though they are PROMOTING it. Do you think that possibly more middle class white republicans have seen that video more than any blacks have???  IF, and a big IF, any OTHER station or media entity were to devote that much time to this story, then and ONLY THEN, would I give it any credibility. If anybody calls for ANY violence, in response to a perceived  or real feeling of unfairness/abuse, or whatever their beef is, it's wrong. But, where was the outrage when Limbaugh said similar crap in the past???? Remember the "Barak, The Magic Negro" song that he sung on his radio show??????? Did that get the same attention and outrage as this story?????

This crap has been used for quite some time in politics, and it's going to be used again in the near future just because of the color of the president's skin. Why??? Because it works. Remember all the times in the past that we heard about abortion, and how the republicans used that as an emotional platform issue??? How did that turn out when they had total control of the branches of government to overturn it???

This story, and it's promotion is supposed to somehow make a correlation to the two morons and Obama, and then turn or change people's attitudes towards him and/or the democratic party, to influence upcoming elections to change the balance of power. It's similar to the NUMEROUS catch-phrases and terms being pushed around now and in the past. It's the use of word association/terms to make a correlation to a targeted person or group.

Look at a few of them:

  anchor baby

  drop and go(same reference)

  martial law

  death panels

  socialist

  Marxist

  death taxes

Do I need to keep going, or do you get the point??????

The "Barack, The Magic Negro" was an article written by David Ehrenstein, a columnist for the Los Angeles Times (a predominantly liberal rag), and the song that you referred to, was not sung by Mr. Limbaugh, rather by Paul Shanklin...., who was impersonating Al Sharpton to the tune of "Puff, The Magic Dragon"  The whole thing was a lampoon of the LA Times story, and its writer.  http://articles.latimes.com/2007/mar/19/opinion/oe-ehrenstein19

Why?, because you and others like you read unsavory and unworthy propaganda sites like media matters, and they tell you what they want you to think..... and you buy into it, hook, line and sinker.

Obama and his Marxist Socialist leaders in both houses of Congress are doing just fine in influencing the American People as to their determining their qualifications to lead, which will change the balance of power back to the Conservatives.

Those phrases are accurate and to the point.  In just Los Angeles County in California, over 300,000 babies born in county hospitals, were to illegal parents seeking to establish an "anchor" in the United States, in order to pick the pockets of Americans.....In Houston, in one hospital alone, 16,000 babies of illegal invaders happened.

A change to the 14th Amendment to the Constitution needs to occur.

Re: dagwud, for your reading pleasure

I'll try this one more time Tom.  I agree with you 110% about FOX's deceptive "news" reporting.  In fact I have stated many times I don't even consider FOX to be a source of news as I think of them as an entertainment channel for Repubs.   However that has nothing to do with the fact that these men were calling on fellow blacks to kill white men, women and children.  It amazes me that you can even compare their sick message to a parody song on Rush's entertainment show.  Don't compare apples to oranges.  Show me where Rush was calling for his listeners to go out and kill black people if you want to make such a comparison.  By the way did you know that it was a black liberal writer named David Ehrenstein (I know it does not sound like a black name.) who started the phrase "Barrack the Magic Negro" when he wrote an opinion piece in the LA Times?  Rush picked it up and ran from there making the parody song you refered to.

If you can show me where the videos of these two racist black men is fake or altered then I would agree with you this is no big deal however I have not seen any such evidence or even claims of it.  Yes I believe FOX is trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill as I have said already that I don't believe there is a large contingent of new Black Panthers out there wanting to all white folks.  However I still strongly believe everyone should strongly condemn this sick message even if it is only one or two people publicly making these statements.  Instead we see many on the left trying to make excuses for these idiots as they fear it is some how a knock on Obama.  Not once have I ever thought this story was about Obama or even related to him.  If some sick white KKK member was saying something similar while we had a white president I also would not think it had anything to do with the POTUS.  Be different if Obama was in the crowd yelling "Yea!  Black power!" as these two were calling for murdering whites.

It is one thing to say racist jokes or make stupid remarks like these two men in a private home or with a few friends while knocking back a few beers but a much different story when it is done out on the open streets in front of scores of passersby.  At least now I finally understand why you are so compelled to try and cover for these two sicko's.  You feel their story could damage Obama and Dems.  I truly had not even thought of it that way.  Thanks for clearing it up.  I guess I need to start watching FOX to get your drift.  I admit I had not read your links as I try to stay away from web sites that I feel are biased towards one particular party.  I have since gone back and read both your links Media Matters and AlterNet  and still don't see how it pertains to the message these two men were preaching and how everyone should strongly condemn there sick message.  How does FOX being a biased station somehow lessen the hate, racism and violence encouraged by these two guys?  For me it still comes down to rather or not they said what it shows on the video.   Even if FOX purposely showed only certain portions of the video as with the Sherrod case I still don't see how one can make their message any less hateful and dangerous.  You guys worry about white middle class listeners of Rush carrying out violence acts against Dems or blacks because he preaches against Obama and Dem policies yet you seem confident no black listeners of these two men would ever take their message seriously and carry out violence against whites.

I agree with you on the use of catch phrases but do you not agree that both parties have become pretty adapt at coining and using them?  Save your breath Don as I'm not saying that to make excuses for Repubs but simply pointing out how both sides are pretty good at doing it.

Re: dagwud, for your reading pleasure

Fox is trying to use it for some sort of political gain/strategy pure and simple.

IT worked. The intended result happened, as you are disgusted, and shall we say "alarmed". Why the hell do you think Milligan keeps pasting it here??????? IF Fox hadn't promoted this story, along with EVERY other right wing media entity or organization, would EITHER OF US have ever heard of it????????? I'm think no.

This shouldn't be construed as condoning their BS, or any type of way in agreement of. But, if I were to post that video here or Milligan, who would you pay attention to in regards to it's credibility? Me, or him?? If I did it, obviously there wouldn't be any type of agenda behind it, but can you say that about Milligan with his constant right wing extremist BS that he puts on display here daily????

I don't believe any of it, and apparently other people don't either, including the targeted group that it was spoke to, because we haven't heard one iota of anything coming from it. But you do, and that's your right, and choice. It worked as intended.

Re: dagwud, for your reading pleasure

I'll type slower if it helps.  I agree with you on FOX's motives and sleazy "news reporting" style.   While I agree I am disgusted by the hate filled speeches in the video I am not alarmed their a few knuckle heads out their that say such insane things be they black or white, Dem or Repub nor am I alarmed some would try to cover up for such extremely poor behavior simply because they worry it could damage their chosen political party.

As I have said all along if these videos are shown to be fake then I am with you 100%.   But if they are real then I am disgusted that the NAACP and others are not coming out and condemning this type of speech.   After all the NAACP condemned Sherrod for saying she didn't help a white as much as she could have yet stay strangely silent when a couple of men are telling people to kill white men, women and children.  Go figure.  Perhaps the NAACP has issued responses to this video and if so I stand corrected but as of yet I have been unable to find any.

If some white knuckle dragger made similar speeches in public advocating the killing of blacks but it was covered mainly by MSNBC does that somehow lessen the wrong?

When you say you don't believe any of it I'm curious just what you mean.  Do you believe the video is fake and the two men are actors hired by FOX?   To be honest that is something I would believe FOX could be capable of but the other news reports and videos of these same men including the one outside the Philadelphia polling station makes me think these men were not FOX stooges.   Do you think the video was manipulated as with the Sherrod video?  If so I'm thinking no matter how one edits this video it still is a hate filled racist speech?

Re: dagwud, for your reading pleasure

MY GOD. Quit pretending you're not the die-hard right winger that you are.

WTF don't you get??????????????? I said I don't condone it or agree with it, and yet you continue to insinuate that I do, and I flat out told you that I don't think that it has ANY credibility because of who's pushing it constantly. Blacks that I know have said it's BS, and nobody would trust them because it looks like some sort of trap to implicate people that would follow them somehow. In other words, it's too obvious to them that it seems like a trap, which I agree with. Throw politics into the mix, and look at how it's been kept alive. What part of that won't sink in.

BTW, which right wing media entity DID you hear it from???????????????????????

Re: dagwud, for your reading pleasure

I believe you when you say you don't condone it or agree with it.  However I went back and checked and you had 7 posts on this subject often as lengthy as mine tend to get before you ever said anything about this type of behavior being wrong.  But first you said,  "I don't know if it's fake or not, and don't give a crap if it is or isn't."  and then "So it's just two people spouting some BS, are they paid to do it??" then "If you did, you would see why I think it's a load of bull."   before finally saying "If anybody calls for ANY violence, in response to a perceived  or refairness/abuse, or whatever their beef isal feeling of un, it's wrong. But, where was the outrage when Limbaugh said similar crap in the past????"  I'm still trying to locate where Rush ever advocated white people murdering black men, women and children.  I also like you part about "in response to a perceived  or refairness/abuse" in an attempt to legitimize their violent hostile preachings.  You seriously could do well as a poitical advisor or handler.

You keep saying it is BS and now say "Blacks that I know have said it's BS."  What exactly is the BS part?  You already know how I feel about FOX's agenda and reporting style.  If you are not saying it is BS because the video is fake then I have to assume you saying it is BS because FOX is making a big deal over two black men walking around public streets emphatically telling fellow blacks they must kill white men, women and children.  I guess you and I have different sets of values.  I place human life higher then some sleazy political spin doctoring.  I'm concerned about people trying to talk fellow members of their race into killing people of another race while you are concerned about FOX's style of reporting and how it might negatively effect Obama and Dems.  They say violent video games disincentives people.  Have you been playing that LA car jacking game my boys like so well?
