experimental vaccine or proven remedy
NIH has upgraded their recommendation and now considers Ivermectin an option for use in COVID-19.
Which we knew likely worked starting in March.
Which we knew on the strength of scientific evidence THIS SUMMER.
Which, unlike masks, is an effective prophylaxis -- we knew that by the middle to late summer and into the fall.
WHICH WE KNEW BY EARLY FALL WAS AS EFFECTIVE IN PROPHYLAXIS AS A VACCINE YET WAS AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW, WAS APPROXIMATELY AS EXPENSIVE AS ASPIRIN AND HAD 30+ YEARS OF TESTING AND DATA BEHIND IT FOR SAFETY.

Duh, except for anti-vaxxer snowflake idiots.
The longer you let the virus circulate widely, the more it mutates.

Re: experimental vaccine or proven remedy
"herd immunity' is a particularly idiotic approach because as some people are re-infected it tends to select for mutations.

Been used widely, off label (and not illegally) since Spring. B in law’s Dr credits it with helping him survive. 71, modestly obese cancer survivor.
FWIW who was in charge of Federal Health efforts? Methinks the same total ####s that came out a few days ago and told us that there was a vaccine surplus and that the evil states were dropping the ball.
That all said, it’s still probably quite a bit better deal to not get the crap than to be cured of or pull through it.

And to not give it to someone else, if that happens to be how you roll.
It is optional, apparently.

The point Karl makes is if it had been used as a prophylaxis when it became obvious that it worked as such the pandemic would be over.

Right Dr, Sam. But just look at how much money Big Pharma would have missed out on. Now that their paid for politician let the virus live long enough to mutate they will sell vaccines forever. Dems are the best friend Big Pharma could ever buy.

So then, now “we could have fixed this if THEY would just have let us” is going on the banner with “the election was stolen” and “Russian interference with the 2016 election was a nothingburger, because Dennison’s minions said so”?
Got it.
