great news for the most part

http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=242736

It has now happened; the Delta variant appears to be more-contagious but produces the sniffles and mild to moderate cold symptoms nearly all the time.  Note that this is not the IFR/CFR divergence we originally saw; this is the CFR, and it is official government data out of the UK.

This is exactly what I and a handful of others predicted would happen and now it has.

But in addition, while the CFR is now the flu and this "variant" is more-contagious the shots are worse than worthless -- they're harmful -- as well.  Look here.

Delta is less deadly than flu (0.1% CFR .vs. 0.15% CFR) in unvaccinated people but is more than six times as deadly among vaccinated individuals.  If you took the shot you ****ed yourself; congratulations.  And no, you don't get to blame unvaccinated people; they get a cold so shut the **** up.

Re: great news for the most part

Why would any serious person be even remotely interested in what Karl Denninger thinks about a disease variant?

Re: great news for the most part

Next up we have this nuclear material out of NATURE on Ivermectin, confirming what those who read the primary study papers already knew. It works, period, and describes multiple biological mechanisms of action in specific detail.  This is not a fringe publication; it is one of the mainline medical journals.

The probability that an ineffective treatment generated results as positive for the 55 studies to date is estimated to be 1 in 23 trillion (p = 0.000000000000043). The consistency of positive results across a wide variety of cases has been remarkable.

Oh, and not just Nature either; a Cochrane-style review (the best current science) also found "Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin."

Re: great news for the most part

That likely explains why so much of it has been used on clinical patients over the past year and a half.

I never quite understood how the COVID luddites got organized enough to fit it in to the same piss pot of alarm as bleach, HCQ etc.

It’s going to be fairly interesting  to see who the next tranch of batshlt winger mouthpieces will be.

List as long as your arm of commentators and “journalists” who have fallen off the truck over the last 5 years,

The roster of”still standing” is really weak.

Is there a big stable of kiddies like Wohl and Stein?

Re: Sam, how do you explain ....

Sam, how do you explain Brazil where the Federal Government widely promoted ivermectin as a Covid treatment and according to many accounts it was widely used, yet they have the second-highest number of deaths, 502,000?

Ivermectins are widely available everywhere in the world where there are livestock, especially India & Brazil, two nations that struggle with Covid.  If it had been effective you can bet they would have used it.  So, why is Brazil & India second & third for the number of deaths?
