gun buy back?

first, how can the government buy back something it didn't sell?

second, what do you think people will actually do when Harris/Buttigieg come to collect ALL of your guns, especially after the massive surge in purchases that has taken place.  And that surge evidently isn't from people that already own guns but people who previously didn't own a gun.

They won't come to the door and demand you give up your guns. They will tax them away from you and pack the supreme court with enough liberals to say it is legal.

Amazing what the last 4 years have illustrated.  Democrats despise the amendments 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6.

Re: gun buy back?

While St. Amy Covid Barrett of South Bend is said to have an even more expansive view of individual gun rights, the current legal framework is Justice Scalia's opinions in Heller and MacDonald. In both he very specifically states that the US government has the legal authority to outright ban certain weapons that it deems excessively lethal.

Better would be just to expand the existing law that requires annual licensure of machine guns, with a fee. Then offer buybacks for anyone who doesn't want to.

If someone wants to sling their AR on their chest and march around to intimidate their fellow citizens they may (assuming local law permits) but they will be in violation of the law if they don't have a current collector's license.

The guys who agitate you all for the benefit of the gun industry would actually learn to love it since many would use the cash to buy cool new stuff.

Re: gun buy back?

The dems will just tax ammo at say 1,000 -10,000% so only the wealthy can afford self protection. The rich taking care of the rich is the hallmark of the modern dem progressive party. Of course dem approved private security guards will be tax exempt, another give away to their rich buddies.

That is one of the problems with electing people to rule over you that have no knowledge of the things you use.  I used to write computer programs for a certain type of business that I was intimately familiar with and because of that my programs were more valuable than others.  The asinine  "excessively lethal" is an example of that ignorance.  The statement as it stands is ambiguous.  The standard murder weapon by mobs is a .22, not some 50 BMG which is unarguably more powerful.  I know of several murders and none of them were from an AR15 which seems to be the boogey gun of the left and the ignorant. Of the ones I know, on was a rock and another was a kitchen knife.

As a matter of interest the AR platform is now one of the most popular HUNTING rifles in the US.  It's available in varmint calibers ranging from .204 Rutger to 450 Bushmaster.

Probably shouldn't be surprised that someone who is obsessed with gender identity is carrying a very high estrogen load.

And machine guns would be very good for feral hogs as well.

Re: gun buy back?

Since assault styled weapons are unquestionably the preferred weapon for mass shooters, it would also provide another gate to pass through to reduce the ability for disturbed individuals to gain easy access.

The Kenosha kid and his Mom might be getting enough gofundme money and offers as commentators on Fox and OAN that they don't care but I sort of imagine they wish he'd just stayed home and played Fortnight.
