In China, the .1% are mostly the million or so party members who have been enriched by selling off publicly held land and assets. Of course they think that their ascent is 100% legitimate and of course they will Tianamen the masses if there is a credible threat to their power.

In Russia it is much more concentrated, a couple hundred billionaires.

In the US the billionaires and centi-millionaires who mostly extraced the wealth with little or no meaningful contribution to society have deployed a defensive army of millionaires and their bootlickers to defend their privelege.
