Hey dude! Still tokin' the weed I see. Bet you're Bogartin' it also. Tell me, if you can get your weed addled brain to function, just who it is that wants you to pay for someone else's BC? Think you can do that? 20 cares a bunch about BC. He is a catholic and doesn't believe in BC except the old stand-by rhythm method.
Use whatever you wish. Makes no difference to me. None of my business.

Re: i JUST WONDER
Some one please explain to me why every time we see a doctor or have a medical test or procedure we get a statement from the insurance company saying such and such was billed, the insurance company says they'll pay x amount which is always considerably less than the billing amount. And 90% of the time there is very little if anything more that the doctor, lab, hospital wants from us.
What is the real cost of the medical care. What was billed, what the insurance company said it was worth, the amount accepted as payment or some other figure hanging out there?

Re: i JUST WONDER
The heck I can't. All I have to do is put a little more downstroke on the benz. There is no law saying I can't put $50K down or even $60K

Re: i JUST WONDER
A lot of it has to do, with things like Medicare/Medicaid paying a certain percentage of what the 'average cost' of a procedure is. So, they jack up their rates, so that they get more from the gov't.
Then, they can give discounts for people with insurance, bigger discounts if you are in their 'preferred network', and (usually) bigger discounts yet, if you pay the bill yourself. I have a fairly high deductable policy, which I always mention up front, and say that I'll just pay them, when I leave if it is under the deductable, and I get anywhere from 30-60% off the bill, regularly.
