"This call [for an international investigation] didn’t start in the Middle East. It stated more than a year ago in Canada, in Europe, in Latin America, and increasingly in America itself,” he continued.

“There are just too many questions raised by architects, by pilots, by experts, by engineers, by [US Department of] Homeland Security employees and the FBI,” the international lawyer reiterated.

“There is every reason to have an inquiry and the [US President Barack] Obama administration should join this call, not oppose it,” he underlined.

As were, I might add, your periodic efforts to remind everyone that I have "truther" sympathies. Which you bring up when you get peeved that I'm arguing with you.

So fine, the straw man also happens to be rolled out at a time when international momentum for an inquiry is building.

Since you ask, no, I don't have a problem with the mainstream historical view of the Holocaust. I've actually been to Auschwitz and have touched the gallows where the commandant was hung following his conviction at Nuremburg. Such an inadequate instrument of justice.

But my view of Israel began to evolve fairly quickly following the publication of Meershiemer and Walt's book "The Israel Lobby."

It is a very straightforward academic work detailing the extraordinary influnce of Israel on US foreign policy. Really nothing new there, the interesting thing was that nobody in the US would touch it- the original article had to be published by the Times of London.

Immediately following the book's publication, the full court press went on to label the authors as anti-semites, holocaust deniers etc. and it faded away quickly- actually never even made much of a ripple in the US, then died.

My view is this- if I am an anti-semite for speaking critically about the influence of another soverign nation on the conduct of my nation, then so be it. Let's let our hair down and have at it.

Ah well, in this country if you question Obama's policies you're a racist, so I'd get over being called an anti-semite.

I would imagine that since we are a "Christian" nation, we sorta believe in the old adage that, "if you mess with God's chirldren, God will mess with you."

I don't believe there are too many with the balls on this site to talk about the influence of Israel's pressure groups in the USA, mainly a lot of childish remarks and slams.  Some people whole purpose of attending this talk group is to slam someone and regurgitate the daily wisdom from the peanut gallery.

It's right there in front of everyone's eyes and they refuse to see.   Same old tune as yesterday.

I don't think it takes a great deal of courage to discuss that or any other issue we cross here.
