Re: nostalgia

Makes me think about the Davis family of MN and their controversial billboard that got the MN highway department panties all in a wad when they had a billboard of Bush Jr up with "Do you miss me yet?" Yet Bush Jr. had too much of that righteous anger of an ex-drunk that found the light and not enough circumspect wisdom.

What we have here is both a failure to communicate, and a failure of leadership. A couple of guys that could not run a hot dog stand have taken the greatest nation on earth and reduced it to a third world banana republic.

Shameful on behalf of both poltical parties, and if now is not the time for a Rand type presidency, when would that be?

Re: nostalgia

Hey Red, Rand Paul is going to be very competitive.  Right now, I can`t think of any others than Rand Paul, Dr Ben Carson and Ted Cruz.  I heard Rand Paul and he held up a I-Phone 5 (I was informed by my Son...he wasn`t impressed by it but anyway) Paul thought to reach out to young people would be their concern for privacy and to tie the ahem older folks in with that he said "if your going to believe in the 2nd amendment, you also have to support the 4th amendment.

This is a time in history when it`s never been more important that all hands are on deck, and I just don`t see that.

The Low Information Voters are like a kid with a loaded handgrenade, you have to say "Here honey give me the handgrenade...we`ll get ice cream...yes yes I`ll buy you a pony...just please give me the handgrenade...please..it`s very dangerous...I`ll buy you a candy bar.".   Voters shouldn`t have to be bought and pandered to...this is just nuts!

Right now Low Infos won`t vote Republican because they think that any solutions to this mess will help the Koch brothers or the neighbor that makes 6 figures.  Some would rather live in a perpetual state of economic doldrums, simply because they want gay marriage and legal pot.  That is the trade off that these damned fools make every election.

I just don`t have alot of hope to be honest, because the solutions to the mess are 180º different than what gets a leader elected and re-elected.  Sure we might slip one past the goalie in 2016, but the momement President Rand Paul implements workable solutions his approval ratings go to the basement.  With Obama`s approval down to his base, perhaps we are getting closer to rock bottom.  Then if Rand Paul is positioned right and the electorate takes the correct fork in the road we can then heal.  I`m afraid they will see Elizabeth Warren as the fork to take, however.

Thomas Jefferson never envisoned that mob rule would supplant republican democracy.

EXPLAIN WHAT YOU THINK COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER BEARING IN MIND THE INTELLIGENCE WHICH HAS BEEN GATHERED TO ARRIVE AT THE DECISIONS THEY MADE.

Just why do you think that is, red? Have you givin' any conscience thought as to how it got this way?? Maybe because a bunch of sore head losers from the opposing party, had a meeting to decide they were going to do every thing they could to destroy his Presidency! Decency and fair play are not one of the Republicans most valuable virtues, actually no more than they have done, for the money they've took home, they deserve to be fired!!

Re: nostalgia

Look GTO, all you Polly-Annas claiming this can go on...we got half the country hooked on a entitlement IV drip ...roughly a little less than half of us bust our ass to keep the lights on for you all ...how long before we wise up and all go John Galt?  That is when it will be obviously "unsustainable".
