on lanza's motivation and otherthings

They believe that he picked an elementary school because he felt it was a point of least resistance, where he could rack up the greatest number of kills. That’s what (the Connecticut police) believe.” .....................

What the "gun control" advocates are really about is shielding themselves from becoming the target of lawful self-defense when they commit acts of aggression in the future themselves. That they don't intend to do so right now isn't the point at hand -- they want a quiet insurance policy protecting their ability to do so.

Re: on lanza's motivation and otherthings

I read something about that, but from a different source.

On a side note (not to hihack the thread) did you hear about the school district, that got armed, uniformed police in the building, at essentially no cost to the taxpayer?
They moved the cops that had to do their paperwork, to an empty office in the school building.  They do their paperwork, and send it in, over the internet.   Since the schools already have broadband, there is no extra cost involved, after the initial setup.   The cops are on duty already, so no additional payroll is needed.   Cop cars are parked in the school parking lot, and the cops basically walk around the school for a few minutes every time they come, and go, and when they are on 'break'.

Gets a police presence in the school, for more or less no cost.

That's what I call thinking outside of the box. Kudos to them.

This report details the latest on Lanza.   From evidence the cops found,  Lanza planned this attack a long time,  deluded that each live he took gained him points,  like video games do.   Lanza was very,  very strange and on drugs.

If just a few school staffers had their concealed carry training and weapons,   Lanza would have been stopped before he could kill so many.

The man who shot up an Aurora, Colo., movie theater during a screening of “The Dark Knight Rises” last summer has reportedly converted to Islam and prays up to five times a day.

A prison source say the beard James Holmes sported in court last months represents his new-found faith. The source said Mr. Holmes has turned Muslim as a way of justifying his horrific crimes on July 20 which left 12 people dead and 58 people wounded, the Daily Mail reports.

“He has brainwashed himself into believing he was on his own personal jihad and that his victims were infidels,” the source told the National Enquirer.

Mr. Holmes now prays five times a day, sticks to a strict Muslim diet and spends hours each day studying the Koran, the source told the Enquirer.

But most Muslim inmates are not happy with the convict’s new religion.

“None of them condone forms of terrorism or extremism,” the source added. “And they don’t want their religion to be connected to that awful shooting.”

Mr. Holmes is charged with 166 counts, mostly for murder and attempted murder, the Mail reports. He could be executed or spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted. A Colorado judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf earlier this month.

Re: on lanza's motivation and otherthings

Wait a minute. I thought that Obama hired all this to happen that lanza was just some stupid crackpot that they framed. Didn't the men in black do all this killing and not Lanza?
