one bit of good news

Secret Service said to be livid over the reckless disregard for the safety of them and their families.

Might not put up much of a fight if the 82nd Airborne comes to dislodge him if he loses.

This insanity has been around for decades.  I remember Clinton wasn't going to go.  The whole thing is as stupid as Republicans are going to end Social Security.  Something else that comes around each election cycle.

Yes. Around for decades. Enough so as to make it hard to pose as just a passing concern.

Compounded now, however, by the fact that for 2 1/2 centuries it was never actually proposed or threatened personally, out loud by one of the 44 previous occupants. I’m sure that some activist or pundit or just plain rabble rouser or mischief making agitator has floated it in the press, coffee shops, pool halls and church basements before. But, until now, never the severely aggrieved, potentially displaced party themself.
