I think the real lesson is, whether from George Floyd and now Tyre Nichols or even Breonna Taylor.  Something in the cop`s psyche has changed from the "Joe Friday, Protect & Serve" to now beat (no pun intended) cops are militarized.  I understand that if the judge`s warrant is issued on a meth lab, that a "SWAT team" needed to be implemented, because those are rough buggers.  But, these traffic stops of 5 cops in attendance standing around or participating in beating a poor guy obviously mentally incapacitated on separate issues, needs to be rectified. 

If it is literally 5 cops to one, they could safely manhandle the guy off the street and into a more calm situation to come down from the substances in their system.  It`s like some idiots use a cattle prod too much to load livestock and after being shocked excessively the animal becomes numb and then tempers flare.  But 5 guys can physically resolve these situations without the resulting tragedies.   Training has to be changed at the police academies  and perhaps not recruit as heavily from those with military training?

Not sure I will get this worded right or get you to understand what I mean but something smells about this whole thing. Understand I am not saying every Black is a gang member or criminal or every gag member or criminal is Black. Could it be that these cops are part of a group of bad people who felt if they had Black people kill Tyre it wouldn't cause so much attention? Did Tyree know something that threatened this group? The officials say there is no evidence of him driving recklessly so no reason to stop him. How often do uniformed officers show up in unmarked cars for a moving violation? Will we ever know the whole truth? I do not know anymore than anyone but some things look wrong in this story.

Defund the police has a lot of consequences, attracting good cops appears to be one of them.

This is a hard one to talk about for the bois and the media its basically Black on Black crime and in one of those beautiful blue cities of the liberal experiment

Hire ill disciplined men based on their race. Give them all guns, live ammo, and badges, but shortchange their training and supervision. Finally, make sure they are led by a previously fired, but racially and gender preferred police chief.

Do all of these things, and a Memphis mayor and his city council will only get what they most richly deserve. Just be very thankful the city did not riot or burn this weekend, because no cop or fireman was coming to save any of the residents had they bothered to call for help.
