Now, if any of these people have any integrity, they'll keep their word -- probably don't need that last one though --

Re: "TICK TOCK"

What's the old saying/curse?  "may you live in interesting times"

Boy, do we ever.  I'll admit I am as shocked as I've ever been by any election result; felt it would be close, but didn't expect this result.

I do understand what the appeal is; people are fed up and they showed it by the results.  My hope is that President Trump (yes, I can say it!) will do some of the things he has promised.  There is a need to overall health care, do immigration reform, rebuild infrastructure, and so much more.  My biggest worry is that many of the the social advances will be rolled back too.  We shall see what the future brings.

What social advances were created during the last 8 years?  What do you fear will be rolled back?

Re: "TICK TOCK"

Naive? Not really, just pragmatic. My day to day life likely won't change.
Optimistic? Hardly. I've got major concerns. Social advances in voter rights, women's rights and LGBT being rolled back, more gerrymandering and voter suppression efforts achieved, Trump's vindictive streak coming to the forefront as he punishes his "enemies", slash and burn foreign policy. The tick tock to me now represents the ticking time bomb that he is.
