Gee, like I say if the premiums over your prove they FAR EXCEED the paulty claims why continue with them???
Now those FRINGE farmer should go away out of businesss so farners like you can make BIGGER incomes. Example of todays greedy farmers if I can't make in market I want taxpayer to support me.
The usuual cheap food excuse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because it is cheap protection for years like 2012. The BTOs have to take out the insurance to keep their bank happy. No insurance no loan. No loan no way to out bid that small beginning farmer. The insurance program is nothing but the BTO protection act. End it. End it now. Close the offices. Fire the employees. No more golden parachute pension plans. Deficit reduction. The FSA is another failed government program destroying the very people it's supporters claim they want to help.

Re: Nope!
Like talking to a railroad tie ain`t it 3020? When we say "do away with farm subsidies and gov crop insurance, then hobby says "You greedy farmers just don`t want the fringe areas planted so you`ll make more money!!!" then we say okay keep `em. Then hobby says "You greedy farmers want the taxpayers to protect your income!".
Last night I was chasing the little Chihuahua around the kitchen table and the Wife says how long would he keep that up, I said I think he`ll keep it up one lap longer than I can 🙂

I could take hobbey a little more seriuosly if he would also complain about spending such as this. He doesn't seem as concerned with spending as he does about bashing conservatives.
snip-
Right now the National Institutes of Health is spending $3.2 million to get monkeys to drink alcohol excessively to determine what effect it has long term on their body tissue.
NIH also has handed out $69,459 to the University of Missouri to study whether text messaging college students before they attend pre-football game tailgates will encourage them to drink less and “reduce harmful effects related to alcohol consumption.”
And the government’s premier research arm has doled out money in recent years for research on binge-drinking mice, inebriated gamblers and pilots seeking the sensation of flying drunk — on a simulator of course.
NIH defends such expenditures on the grounds that these research projects help those they fund improve their “potential to develop into a productive, independent research scientist.”
In an email to The Washington Times, the NIH pointed out that the goal of the Missouri text message project wasn’t just to save the lives of coeds but also to empower “promising predoctoral students to obtain individualized, mentored research training from outstanding faculty sponsors while conducting dissertation research in scientific health-related fields relevant to the missions of the participating NIH Institutes and Centers.”
In other words, it’s the sort of stuff that gets scientists excited.
But with 50,000 grants totaling $24 billion each year at taxpayer expense, NIH has some spending watchdogs and lawmakers in Congress wondering whether it has become a drunken spender that has wandered too far astray from its core mission.

Re: Nope!
Hahaha, about comparing Hobby to the little dog.
Just watch out when he lifts his hind leg up, and make sure he doesn't pee on your leg!
I just wish Hobby would put on a seminar and tell us how the new farm bill works so we would know the economics of it.

Re: Nope!
you indicated that the fringe areas cause low prices for all,. that tells me you want them out so price will be then higher for us, sounds like a greed to me. your gain at their expence. with the way it is now farmers want the govt to support those low prices. .

Where am I bashing conseratives ? I'm pointing out the riduclous farmer spending welfare programs.
we could get in all the grants and federal support going to univeristies to benefit agriculture.
one of those monkeys might help on how booze could effect our farmers thinking thoughts.

Well you see hobby I never see you criticize Mr. Kraft for taking government payments, mostly just Red and BA. So I assume you view Mr. Kraft taking FSA money as being fine because he supports progressive policies. I agree you though on farm spending. It should all be ended immediately because it is not in the best interest to the long term security of this nation. Kudos to you for keeping it in the spot light.

Re: Nope!
3020, its not whether Red or Ba are consetrvative or kraft is liberal. Its the fact that Red/BA complain about all the free stuff that poeple in this country recieve from govt while their govt guarantees are not a problem. We hear all the reasons its a small part of budget support and the usual cheap food policy. They live under unbrella that we are to important to fail. but face it anyone could suceed with all the govt support provided. When you as a farmer in grain production is guaranteed a income from your operation whether its thru poor price, poor yeild , weather problems by crop ins program that farmers don't even pay full premiums on.or the ins companies pay the losses on.
3020 is there any local business in you commuinty that have such guarantees or govt backed ins to prevent failure. .

Re: reasons why Americans feel insecure
BA, most all of today farmers lived under mommy and daddy's wing for years till the farm was handed over thru inheritance. My neighhood is not different atleast 85% of area farmers are farming on inherited land. not by pulling up their own boot straps.
'you didn't build it you had help" and still have help
