Great article! It is a cautionary tale about what happens when media hype (a.k.a. Hysteria), high stakes politics, big brother government, and manipulated data all collide.

Nevertheless, if I were over the age of 50 and/or had one of the critical co-morbidities, I’d still step up as soon as I could to get my Covid 19 vaccine. It is not a risk free choice, but neither is trying to survive Covid, should you contract it. It is a personal health odds game that should be made by informed, educated, and adult citizens.

Yep, that's what I've said all along. 

Best thing to do for your health is to maintain a healthy weight.  Do some exercise, eat lots of beef, avoid the processed stuff.

I have my whole family on a diet right now. None of us are morbidly obese, but this lockdown has served to reduce physical workouts, swimming, basketball, baseball, football, etc. and we could all stand to lose a few lbs. Karl is not polite in calling attention to what he dubs the "fatazz" syndrome, but it no doubt accounts for more deaths and healthcare visits than Covid ever could, and is entirely preventable.

If there's an aggregated US statistic that I'd bet the farm on to several decimal points of accuracy it is mortality.

You Liberty!!! folks might get away with the occasional body hidden after a lynching but I'm pretty certain it is statistically insignificant.

So 500K extra folks just up and died 'cuz they were butthurt or something?

There's certainly some conversation to be had about the nature of the 150k or so who weren't logged as Covid deaths, but that's an entirely different matter than trying to whitewash the pandemicide that you participated in.

nutz, put the mt. dew down, put the doritos away, shut the computer off...get outside and enjoy the sunshine. If your brothers haven't taken 100% of the family land away, maybe plant a garden and weed it this summer and both get some exercise plus fresh vegetables.

Since the heart of the Trump Death Wave was in '21 we'll probably do about an extra 500K in '21 as well.

We'll have to wait and see but if there was anything to the "already 3/4ths dead anyway" argument we ought to see a noticable depression of mortality for a couple of years thereafter.

Move to Canada. They know how to handle this disease. You will happy there because the government gives you a list of dos and don'ts. If you do a don't you get a visit from the authorities. You will be happy then.....because they told you to be happy.
