Broidy does have a history of paying off the girlfriends of people who he's bribing, as in this skanky deal where he got jammed up and had to disgorge substantial "profits."

If, as some allege, it turns out that he is a cutout taking the fall for Trump, Jerry Jr. and Franklin will come to terms with it. They're taking the long view in regards to turning out blighted land into God's Kingdom.
