Re: the govt' is afraid of its own citizens

He asked, "is everybody blind?".   A good  question is why are so many people blind?

There are subject that are too non PC to discuss and people are programmed to run away from.  There is a great deal of hate mongering-scapegoating to invent the delusion to support building a Gestapo style military 'police' force i.e... Homeland inSecurity.

Take a good look at the site with the tool for tracing foreign aid, which the usual suspect pumped on to end discussion.  It focuses on the zionists, however I imagine other nations have their industrial facilities within our borders.  Some people are paranoid that foreign troops will be used in the pending fascist take over.   Are you blind?

We have had people on this site demanding certain groups be disarmed and out of the other side of their face they make big noise against having their arms taken away.

Sometimes I wonder if they are that stupid or they are HS plants.  Remember when they were asking citizens to volunteer to keep watch in their communities?

This is the time for Patriots to stand up and rid our government of corrupt politicians who so openly are selling themselves to the highest bidders, most of them agents of foreign governments.

Re: the govt' is afraid of its own citizens

I really like your tag line. You do know that bush really said that our enemies are innovative and never stop thinking of ways to harm our country and that we, meaning him and all the rest never stop thinking of ways to harm the country either. English is one of the most difficult languages to learn and be fluent in and improper grammar can change the entire meaning of a sentence.

Re: the govt' is afraid of its own citizens

It really is meant to suck in people like you who can't think beyond partisan programming.  The laugh for people like you is gwb's poor use of English.  The point for me is the truth in the statement, but the truth is in who 'we' is.   You don't really think even George meant he personally was monitoring terrorist.  The we is the permanent government.

Re: the govt' is afraid of its own citizens

personally I don't find your tag line funny.  What I want to know is did GW  mean what he actually said or was he saying what  you want him to have said?

Re: the govt' is afraid of its own citizens

It's just one of the classic bushism he was famous for.  I'm sure he meant it to say what you would expect him to say.  No reason to go nuclar.

Re: the govt' is afraid of its own citizens

You see the use of poor grammar would lead one to believe the W said that we--whomever is in his group--also spend their time trying to think of ways to harm our country. I'm sure that is over your head but that is why it is funny. What he was implying is, of course, true but his meaning as he said it was ambiguous at best.

Re: the govt' is afraid of its own citizens

Snurbutt,  You seem intent upon hijacking threads, is that because you don't know any better or it is your purpose here, to prevent discussion of the topic ?

The topic is the US Colonel who asked -" is everybody blind".

I'm not hijacking anything and I wasn't talking to you anyway so BTFO!

Re: the govt' is afraid of its own citizens

Very much pertinent to this discussion. BTW, I can't beleive what a prck I'm getting to be.

Had a chance encounter quite recently with a young man, very likable sort. He said that he was former military, Iraq, who now did traing with SWAT teams around the country.

I assume he was used to people getting into that stuff, but anyway, I poliitely said that while there may be a need for SWAT type stuff in some places, I had some concerns about what I've seen with arming up the Barney Fifes out in Hooterville and wasn't real sure that was going to end real well.

He said, well, you just don't know. There are riots and civil unrest everywhere, we have to be prepared (nobody is reporting on it, yada, yada yada, its everywhere).

Then he said he'd been working in Texas previously, so I asked him what he knew about the FOIA release on the (redacted) group that the FBI said was planning on assassinating occupy members in Houston. Dunno, but he got real agitated, but did say he had heard of that.

Doubt that he was in the loop-, but had apparently heard something. Got away from me quickly.

Like I said, I'm such a **bleep** but what're ya supposed to do? Ask for an autograph?
