Parting  of  the  Dead  Sea  happened ,  and  like  the  Salt  in  the  Great  Salt  Lake  continues  it's  presence  after  years  of  fresh  water  snow  inflows  of  Wasatch  Mountain  Range , it  fluctuates  through  the  decades  -   -   -

Why  the  U. S.   military  is  raising  water  WALL  and  barriers  at  its  sea  coast  facilities,  being  a  gullible tax  $$$   grab,  you  decide,  and - or  maybe  Mexico  will  fund  those  also -  since  someone  has  re- decided  NOT  TO  CLOSE  the  Rio  Grande   BORDER  ports  of  entry  -  ?

Of course, even ignorant liberals know that climate changes all the time. No one is saying that it only started with man or that man causes—except ol’ 30 who says that all the time saying that liberals say that. However, we do know and can prove that things like warmer oceans can and do cause weather to be more severe in both directions and that many if man’s activities cause the oceans to get warmer which can be proven also. AND it doesn’t take a very large increase to cause major storms. But I’m sure you know that but you don’t whatvto ho against party doctrine.

These slow-motion landslides slides happen on relatively low-angle slopes as permafrost melts in the Arctic summer.  The ice provides structure for the overlying soil, and as the ice melts, the soil simply collapses into a muddy mess that slides down the slope. 

A typical slump like this might affect a front 100 metres long, and continue through the summers over many years, retreating up the slope as the land collapses downhill.

The team used Google Earth Engine Timelapse to count the increase in the number of these slumps from 1984 to to 2016.  This tool provides a way to look at sequences of Landsat satellite images to provide a time-lapse picture of landscape changes.  Initially the work began as a student assignment until they realized how significant the changes were.

Just more food for thought -- it's not all about climate change and sea level rise -- some areas are actually sinking, and at a rate faster than the rise in sea level alone.  Plus, though not mentioned in the article, any farm kid knows what happens to the water level in a bucket when you push a floater lower in the water.
