It really only cares about two things at the moment- the Fed and a trade war.
BTW, certain short term traders are having a field day right now although when they are wrong that will be the power behind the next big move. I'd actually slightly favor a short squeeze only because that's the boyz' favorite game.
This sort of stuff comes out of somebody's pocket- it is a zero sum game in the short run.
