The law of the land since 1789- The Treasury must provide to Congress any information that is requested. Period, and no subsequent precedential law to intercede.
Probably didn't turn up in the last Originalist seance, but actually doesn't require any of that necromancing. It is the law.
That would be a different tack than direct House subpoena and could probably be delayed in the courts for a while. But I'd love to see the Originalists backflipping on it.
