Re: Give credit were credit is due........
Let t be known that the focus of the intelligwnce community and the military was heightened because Obama gave it high priority.
Bush and co were not so enthused about focusing on Bin Laden. In fact previous comments by the former president have confirmed that.

Re: Give credit were credit is due........
snip-
White House counterterrorism advisor John Brennan on Sunday defended the administration's campaign of drone missile attacks against militants while acknowledging that the air strikes have sometimes killed noncombatants.
"Unfortunately, in war, there are casualties, including among the civilian population," Brennan said on ABC News "This Week," answering a question about the covert drone program. U.S. missile attacks in Pakistan, Yemen and elsewhere are not officially acknowledged by the administration but are frequently discussed indirectly.
"We've done everything possible in Afghanistan and other areas to reduce any risk to that civilian population," he continued. "Unfortunately, Al Qaeda burrows within these areas, you know, safe havens as well as areas where there are civilians, but we've been very, very judicious in working with our partners to try to be surgical in terms of addressing those terrorist threats."
"Sometimes you have to take life to save lives," Brennan added, "and that's what we've been able to do to prevent these individual terrorists from carrying out their murderous attacks."
Al Qaeda has been severely degraded, Brennan said, but "there's a lot of work to be done yet in Yemen, as well as in areas of Africa."

Re: Give credit were credit is due........
The part I like is Biden strutting around repeating their re-election slogan, "Bin Laden is dead and GM is alive." when it has now been reported that when they got the intel on Bin Laden's where abouts Biden was against sending in the Navy Seals.
Is that what you call a Hawk-chicken?
Kind of fits in with his opinion that we should pay higher taxes to help those in need yet his tax returns show he gave an average of $369 a year to charities while earning $320,000 a year.
I was surprised to see the Des Moines Register which typicaaly leans to the left do an editorial piece on Biden where they refered to him as Scrooge and reported that Biden is the first protectee to charge the Secret Service rent to use a cottage on his water front property. The Register reported Biden charges the Secert Service $2200 a month for the cottage while they are protecting him.

Right....we are being told that Obama "directed" the CIA to look for OBL...its a good thing too, or they may never have thought of that.

Re: Give credit were credit is due........
I suggest you let the secret service use part of your property for free. Secret service protection is not requested by the president or vice president. It is required by law and there is nothing that requires the vice president to provide a cottage on lake property.
Perhaps you are aware of the government building facilities on the officials property for that purpose. I sure if you do alittle searching you might change your mind or maybe not.
Biden's job requires that he give the president an honest opinion about strategy. In the end the commander and cheif makes the decision. Why do you want to blame BIDEN for that alternative suggestion. Biden did not take credit for getting BIN Laden. HE fully placed the credit where it belonged on Barack Obama.

Re: Give credit were credit is due........
Obama gave the CIA and the military to make a renewed effort to pursue Bin Ladin. They've had that objective since 9/11 but I suppose their intensity had diminished. Especially, when Bush told us that getting Bin Ladin was not a top priority.
Obama recharged that effort and it was a success, which is more than what bush did in spite of a war in afghanistan and an unneccessary war in Iraq.

Re: Give credit were credit is due........
Biden has been a joke since he long before he took the Veep office.
I've heard that they gained the info that finally helped them find OBL by that dreaded waterboarding...if that is true, its darn funny how life plays the irony card.

Re: Give credit were credit is due........
If someone is there protecting me and my family, you are damned strait I'm going to let them use my cottage to stay in. What kind of person would charge for that??
Now you defending that charge is not the least bit surprising...its actually quite humorous to watch you carry any and every Dem's water at the drop of a hat. At your age, one might think all those buckets might get heavy...but you seem to be quite a trooper when it comes to blind partisanship.
