Re: Labor Force Participation Rate Chart
I gotta go back to school. I guess, to read that graph. From the narrative, as applied to the graph Obama must have been innaugarated in early 2007 rather than in early 2009. And something he did in late 2010, November or so, must have been quite significant. Or somethign that happened then, under his watch.
How dumb do some fo these revisionists think people are? What would make somebody pass along such folly?

Because that is all they've got, bruce! If the Republicans can't lie their way in they can't/won't win, even dog catcher.

Re: Labor Force Participation Rate Chart
You bettter get those glasses re-checked bruce. It clearly shows the largest drop to be around innaugeration time of Obama. Now if you want to point out that they've snipped much of the graph away to make the drop seem more substantial than it is, then you might have a point, as it is only a four or five point drop from top to bottom. But your claim of the years appears to be clearly false.

Absolutely. Conditions were at rock bottom.
What are you trying to say about that?

That is NOT what you were trying to say in the previous post as far as I can tell.
What are you trying to say about that?
Since the slide gained huge momentum following Obama's placement in the oval office...judging from just the chart I would say that more folks decided to ride the gravy train than continue looking for jobs. His Porkulus package probably stimulated some of the original large slide as some of it was used to keep people on long term unemployment and other social aspects. I'd also venture to guess that bring the rolls of food stamps from $40 Billion to $70 billion helped make the decision for some folks as well. Both are WAGs though, since it doenst give us complete information.

Re: Labor Force Participation Rate Chart
It is perplexing how a GFC could have anything to do with it. Must be something in the water.
