According to my History teacher (who may be right or wrong) he used many principals of business, to run a successful Presidency. The trick was, and still is, knowing which principals can carry over, and which should not.
He must have learned them from his father who was a wall streeter among other things. I don't think any of three Kennedy brothers ever ran a business. His degree was in International Affairs.
