Did you read the article?
Bush lied people died. By the time Obama went to congress for authorization to bomb Syria he already knew Asad didn't do it. At least congress took their job seriously this time and balked at the idea.
Oh and did you read the party about Benghazi being a gun running operation?

If Obama toppled Assad that would leave a vacuum that Al Quada would be more than happy to fill. There`s a hell of a problem with those "salt of the earth" rebels taxing and killing Christians now. Obama mucks up everything he touches.

Iraq has wmds, Benghazi was about a movie, Asad used chem weapons, if you like your policy....

I respect Seymour Hersch, and his reporting, but I believe he is rewriting history here.
The US House was not going to vote to authorize Obama to use missles in Syria due to an overwhelming show of opposition from the US public and Obama backed down from his "wag the dog" moment.
I never did believe the neo-con cooked stories of Assad gassing his own people, and there was plenty of fuel to speculate that it was a planted story from the get go.
