Mental Health

The psychology instructor had just finished a lecture on mental health and was giving an oral test.

Speaking specifically about manic depression, she asked, "How would you diagnose a patient who walks back and forth screaming at the top of his lungs one minute, then sits in a chair weeping uncontrollably the next?"

A young man in the rear raised his hand and answered, "He's probably a basketball coach?"

Re: Mental Health

Haha, that's actually a funny way to describe it(coming from a guy with a mental illness).

Re: Mental Health

Haha, that's actually a funny way to describe it(coming from a guy with a mental illness). I have complex PTSD, so I sometimes suffer from episodes of manic disorder. Laughing helps in situations like this since things in my life are so gray sometimes that I need a pop of color to survive this. CPTSD is hard to live with, even more, when the memories and flashbacks caused by it are something you don't want to remember ever again. I'd love to hear if someone on this forum has the same condition as me and would like to talk about it! Nobody should go through this alone.
