Beef imports down

6% as comped to same frame 2017.

Beef exports are up over 12% as comped to any year same frame.

2018 is a record export year ongoing.

The afore 2 factors amount to 18% less beef in the us supply as compared to 2017 and other years too.

I'm kinda wondering what's happened to that supposed great wall of cattle analysts predicted for march then April then may hmmmmm are americans so darn cynical all they can do is cry  Wolf..,  or the sky is falling? Lol. 

Pork exports are also big this year.

wright -  wondering if you done a sampling of the identity of these export items  ? ? 

The price of dog food just went up due to  available  ingredient  inversion  - maybe  ?

Àre being set with the higher beef exports too.

Soooo there's a lot of high end primals leaving.  Ie ribs middle meats etc.  South Korea for instance buys every beef short rib the USA produces.

BTW  most dog food is made from corn.                                                                                                                              B

So  leaving  our largest, domestic consumer in the rear view mirror , to court an on again - off again  market scheme  being  a  wise  procedure ?  ?

Today  I  attended  a  Mothers Day  function  where  decidedly  folks  where  leaving  a  beef - type  display  of  round   type  configuration,  for  broasted  chicken,  totally   unbelievable  ! 

When  I  choose  the  beef , I  was  reluctantly ,  appreciative  of  their  decision - - -

The USA sells beef to are mexico Japan Canada and south Korea...that has not changed much for a couple decades now.
