Kobe Beef

Anyone know what makes this beef so expensive?  Sounds like they give cattle a massage every 8 days and force feed them beer.  I bet PETA would have something to say about this.

lol its not anything to do with basketball.

its an imported beef.. from Japan.

apparently its much more flavourful than regular beef. Grass fed I think? I am not actually sure of this. Never had it.

Anyways.. thats what  I learned from the food network/iron chef. I am gonna have to say its probably all crap and dietary foreplay to get you in the mood to stick it in your mouth. Sort of like how organic food somehow magically tastes better when you see and know its organic but is indistinguishable in blind taste tests. makes sense?

It was suppose to be humor. But it still applies. Kobe Bryant's father loved Kobe beef so much he named his son after the stuff. We had a Kobe restaurant near here. It went out when the economy crashed. I can't remember all the details but yes it is young very tender meat. They say they feed them as hard as they can and yes they do feed beer and who knows what else. The massage thing sounds familiar too.
