Re: PRICE ALERT
The local grocery store where I frequently shop is currently offering 25% off ALL beef. The picture in this post is a cropped screenshot of an email showing the promotion.
I purchased a cut of Prime New York Strip Steak this afternoon with the discount. They are not showing any limit on how much a customer can buy at the discounted price.
I am starting to wonder if the retailers are currently oversupplied with beef and needing to reduce their inventory.

Re: PRICE ALERT
Prime Rib burgers seems a real stretch - lower prices = more sales soooo why not lower the prime rib in the first place so the grinding gimmic would be not needed ?

Re: The $140 to $160cwt 500 lb steers here look 2 b
an attractive buy....heck even some 470 wts at $150 to 153 cwt.
granted we are a dry area....some big strings of weaned calves moving here.
Cows been a bargain All Spring Pairs and Breds calfing Now.
That is a touch tougher to do now ( some of the pairs have sold on towards $1,600 to $1,800 which seems perhaps a touch spendy to Me )..
In the meantime I'm still getting some breds in the $1,050 to $1,150 range calfing now....Pairs with big calves running say $1350 My way.

Re: PRICE ALERT
Put a couple whole NY strips, sliced at about an inch, in the freezer at 6.99 in March, along with some tenderloins at 1.69 and some loins at 2.99- ridiculous.
Ought to make it through the summer unless I have too much company.
