Tama Link and Graph thru Mid-April
Live cattle prices are holding better than I was expecting. Can anyone explain what caused the big drop in Holstein prices a week ago? The price range was 52.5-84.5 cwt. That spread seems way to wide for the "choice Holstein" category.
Over the weekend I passed the Tama exit on I-80. I think I was about 30 miles away from the sale barn. If the weather had been better, it would have been fun to drive by the sale barn.

I took the 52.50 to be a misprint. This week they had no listing for Holsteins. Locally they're $78. Got a semi load sold for June for $1.03. Minus trucking and other expenses. Hope to net $1.00.
